Welcome to owning your voice. Welcome to being a voice actor.
The path to success
01 — Education, education, education
Learning the craft of acting is of utmost importance because after all, you want to be a voice actor. But there’s also a boatload of other things you need to learn along the way. Your education is paramount. Ask me how I can help you be your most authentic self!
02 — Try, try again
Practice makes better. Put yourself on mic as often as you can. You don’t need a professional set up. A smartphone and memo app will do. You just need to get used to voicing different kinds of copy- read books, plays, newspapers, commercials you’ve heard on TV…anything and everything! The recording is just for you, so who cares if you make mistakes or feel self-conscious. You need to start owning your voice.
03 — Rinse. Repeat. Keep going.
Learning doesn’t just stop because you took a class here and a private lesson there. For over 15+ years, I have been taking classes and workshops every month, as often as I can. Learn from as many different people as you can: other voice actors, casting directors, agents, industry pros, etc.
04 — Don’t stop until you’re proud.
This is a hard business. You have so much to offer and you are worthy of telling stories. Now is your chance to get out there and tell ‘em! Learn how you can become a better voiceover actor with 1:1 coaching.
